Reverb10 – Dec 13 – Action

When it comes to aspirations, it’s not about ideas. It’s about making ideas happen. What’s your next step?
(Author: Scott Belsky)

I’ve been planning to it for over a week, but today I finally took action: I put up our Christmas tree.

Oh Christmas Tree, oh Christmas tree...

  2. That was inspiring! You are so fortunate to have a room of your own to feel spoiled in. I can’t wait until I get there, but in the meantime I’ll enjoy that my man doesn’t mind me making huge messes in our living room, dining room or kitchen. 🙂

    • Yes, I’m very lucky – although it’s such a tiny room there’s barely room for a single bed in here, and everyone else seems to use it as their junk room, but I love it – and my partner is pleased that i’m not making those messes you mention elsewhere in the house!

  3. “…disengaging from toxic situations and people.” – This, Emma, is SO important. I need to work on it more but I can completely understand why you’ve made a point of doing this. One never understands how detrimental these things are to health until they’ve been cut out.

    • I think it’s really easy to get sucked into those kind of situations, sometimes unaware, and its only when you’ve extricated yourself that you realise how spiritually dirty it made you feel. It’s not easy, though, especially as – for instance – you might have to work with these people or they might be your relations. I am trying to work on setting boundaries, and truly believing I have the right to express these, but it can be difficult!
